Updates About Me!

I am about to finish my Junior year in high school which means it is time for me to start looking forward to college! Even though pretty much all of my trips were canceled over summer, I do have an online course to help me write my essays. I am very excited to get started on the college process because I am very excited about college in general! I am also taking some other online courses this summer to stay busy and I am going to try to focus on staying positive.

Dear Future AP Bio:

After having such a great year with this class, I wanted to share some of my tips and tricks for being successful in AP Biology.

My Whole Website Reflection:

WordPress: A positive experience?

I never thought I would actually enjoy creating a website. When I first received the assignment, it seemed like a very daunting task, especially when I looked at the past year’s completed websites. For me, using a completely new tool felt overwhelming and I was legitimately concerned about my ability to successfully create a decent looking website.

While I did have many issues using WordPress, I learned how to work around them to create a website I was happy with. This was the first time I had ever been given a project that was a year round project so I really enjoyed continuing to update my website throughout the year. I also enjoyed the creative process of making my website. In highschool, I feel like I am rarely allowed to sort of do what I want with assignments. Having this project be so open ended was really helpful in figuring out some of my passions such as video making. I also found the design element of the website to be very fun. All of us got the opportunity to create a website that was unique to us. Even though we were all given the same assignment, we all got different results which I think is one of the best parts of this assignment.

Overall, I would say creating a website was a very positive experience. Even though I went into this project unsure, I am very pleased with the overall outcome. Unlike a poster or physical project, this website is something I will have with me forever. Looking back on this blog in future years will always give me joy because I will get to remember all of the fun experiences I had with AP Biology.

  1. Chloe is such a special nugget. I really enjoyed your website and learning about biology even though I took AP bio last year. I especially enjoyed hearing how hard you thought the AP test was. Maybe you should have studied. I really liked your post on the Botany of Desire because I never knew what type of potatoes McDonalds used. Overall, I learned a lot from your blog and I can that you put a lot of time into it.

  2. Great website blog.

Liked your “Dear Future AP Bio” video. Definitely a hard class, but I could tell that you learned and respect the teacher. Heartfelt advice for future students. Candidly sharing what you wish you’d done differently. That takes courage. Bravo.

I also learned how to use chromatography for pigment analysis. Handy skill. Never know when I might need to do that.

    Love the adventure pictures!

  3. Chloe, Congratulations, SENIOR! I wish there was a “like” button on this page…or rather a “LOVE this” button. Your site is awesome! I really enjoy how your personality, creativity, and curiosity are showcased on every page and in every post. It is fun to look back and see how you have developed your “voice” through vlogging and writing. It is clear that you are a thoughtful, creative, caring person who focuses on balancing all the many aspects of your life…school, activities, family, friends, and more. Finding balance is a lifelong quest. Thank you so much for your Dear Future AP Bio video. I knew it would be something special, but never expected to see myself highlighted in such a way. I am so thankful that we have had 2 years of working and learning together in the classroom and that will continue to stay connected next year as you apply to college. My biggest challenge will be fitting all the awesome things about you in one recommendation letter! Enjoy summer and see you in the fall!
